[edit] Bio
Les Diamants was formed in summer 2004 by Oliver and Mart. Few weeks later Hannele joined the band, which got named after a French language title of a James Bond movie Diamonds Are Forever. As trio the band recorded their first demos. Bass player Sven joined band in November 2004, two weeks before the first gig on December 3rd 2004, which is officially considered as the band's birthday.
In a very short time Les Diamants gained underground audiences and critics respect as a unique live act. In summer of 2005 Les Diamants was asked to open Estonian punk-legend Vennaskond on their cross-country tour, which they did. During that tour a swiss anarchist and guitar player of Vennaskond Roy Strider became the band's manager.
After the tour band took some time off, to complete material for their long-planned debut release, which grew from EP to full-length album, recorded in three days at Forwards Studios in Tartu, Estonia. Album called "Fortune Fools" was released late 2005 and was considered either a masterpiece or crap.
Along with the album came the hype, that band could not handle. In few month everything started to fall apart. Les Diamants played it's two last shows on july 2005 in Tallinn and Tartu.
