Lermontov (town)

Lermontov (Russian: Ле́рмонтов) is a town in Stavropol Krai, Russia. Population: 22,964 (2002 Census); 16,500 (1973).

The town was named after a Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov. It was granted town status in 1956. Lermontov is located on the mountainside of Beshtau close to the cities of Pyatigorsk and Mineralnye Vody.
