Leonids Beresnevs

Leonīds Beresņevs (born 6 July 1958) is a Latvian former ice hockey player, who played in defence.

Born in Rīga he is currently assistant coach of the Latvian national team. His first term of coaching the Latvian national team was from 1996 till 1999. In the 1996 world championships, when Latvia were playing in division B, they won it and were promoted to division A. From that time they have remained in that division. Beresņevs's second term started in 2004 and ended in 2006.
