Leonid Afremov

Leonid Afremov (Vitebsk, Belarus, 1955-) is a Belarus born, Israeli modern painter who creates unique landscapes, cityscapes and figures using a palette knife rather than a brush to paint.

Born in Marc ChagallĀ“s birthplace, Leonid Afremov graduated from the famous Vitebsk Art School, an art school that was founded by Chagall, in 1921 and includes many notable patrons such as Malevich and Kandinsky.
