Len Lopresti is a Correctional Officer on the HBO drama Oz, played by Carl DiMaggio. A hateful and dislikable officer, Lopresti often acts as a bully to several inmates and even shows signs of racism in Season 3 (He is seen several times this season showing favoritism to racist inmate Vern Schillinger). From Season 4 onward, he acts as the supervising officer on Death Row where he treats every inmate horribly, with the exception of Shirley Bellinger, with whom he begins a sexual relationship. He does little of consequence throughout the rest of the series playing one of the main recurring officers who supervises Death Row. In season 5 however, he is attacked by a dog trained by inmate Greg Penders who refused to clean up after his dog causing Lopresti to attack him.
