Leitrim (Ottawa)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Leitrim is a community and a developing neighborhood, to Ottawa's rural south in Ontario, Canada, named after the Irish County Leitrim

Located south of Leitrim Road and west of Bank Street, the neighbourhood, also called Findlay Creek, is planned to be expanded significantly over the next few years, almost joining the large Riverside South residential development.

Leitrim is the site of the intelligence gathering station CFS Leitrim located on the northern edge of the community.

Starting in September 2005, a local OC Transpo bus route serves the community that will (at least the western portion) be served by the extension of the North-South LRT corridor.
