The Leinster Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Guinness Leinster Championship) is the premier "knockout" competition in the game of hurling played in the province of Leinster in Ireland. The series of games are organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association and are played during the summer months. The Leinster Hurling Final is played in July in Croke Park, Dublin.
Like the Munster Hurling Championship the Leinster Championship is regarded as one of the most skillful and exciting of the provincial hurling championships. Kilkenny are the most successful, having won the championship on 63 occasions.

The Leinster Hurling Championship is run on a knock-out basis in which once a team loses they are eliminated from the competition. Six of the counties of Leinster, Dublin, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and Wexford, participate in the championship. An open draw is made in which two of these teams automatically qualify for the semi-final stage of the competition. four other teams play in two "quarter-finals" with the winners joining the other two teams at the semi-final stage. Both the winners and runners-up of the "Leinster Final" automatically qualify for the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship series of games.
