The Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship is an annual Hurling tournament played between the hundreds of senior hurling clubs in Leinster. The current holders of the Leinster title are Ballyhale Shamrocks from Kilkenny. The first Leinster senior club football championship winners are St. Rynagh's of Offaly in 1970-71. Kilkenny are the the most successful county to date, Kilkenny clubs have won the Leinster championship on 14 occasions. The two most successful clubs are Rathnure of Wexford and Birr of Offaly who have both won the championship on 6 occasions.

The semi final sees six times Leinster champions Rathnure meet Henry Sheflins four times Leinster winning side Ballyhale Shamrocks. Ballyhale Shamrocks haven't won the Leinster Championship since the 1989-90 season, Rathnure's last win was more recent, with their last win in the 1998-99 season. Craobh Chiaráin have never won a Leinster title, while their opponents Birr like Rathnure are the most successful Leinster sides ever having won on six occasions.
