[edit] LoGDnet will suffice
In a fit of confusion, I managed to nuke the list of third-party game servers from this article. I think I did have some reason for this. Oh yeah...
- Possible link rot headache when there's zillions of servers listed.
- Hard to assess the "worthiness" of the server.
- There's already a perfectly good list of game servers at the LoGDNet.
- I was under the impression Wikipedia was not meant to be an open topical web directory.
If you have a third-party server or module that has contributed some massive, complex innovation to the LoGD community as a whole, and it's really worth the time to describe it, go ahead and talk about it. But let's not fill "External links" with just links to random servers. --Wwwwolf 11:21, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Ending of code maintenance
Someone with more knowledge about the event in question than me should post something about how the developers are leaving the project noted at their main site and the modding site they run. I hear after version 1.0.4 or so they are "giving up the reins". It's been reported on a few blogs I visit so I figure it's wiki worthy history of some sort. -Moocats 19:04, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Okay, I think I will write something - I've followed things develop a bit. --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 19:19, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- OK, is this good enough? --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 19:46, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Third-Party Servers
Edit: Removing spam to a 3rd party server which was duplicated both here and on the main article page. The orignal spam remains as a comment. --MightyE 14:50, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
