Led Zeppelin IV is notable in that it sold a staggering 23 million copies in the U.S alone (23x Platinum) which makes it the best-selling U.K studio album sold in the U.S of the 1970s, and the second best-selling U.K studio album sold in the U.S of all-time.

Led Zeppelin only released one single in the United Kingdom, that was Whole Lotta Love; but it only reached #21, and in the UK; a song has to reach the top 20 to considered be a hit.
