Learches
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Greek mythology, Learches (alternatively Learchus) was a son of Athamus and Ino. He was killed by his father, who had been driven insane by Hera as punishment for having raised Dionysus, Zeus's son by Semele.
Alternatively, used in this sense, "I will never leave you in the learch, dude". Some people believe this to go back to ancient Greco-Roman times because the vowel placement resembles contemporary magazines during that period.
