Leap Frogs/Bedfellows was the second episode of the first season of the Animated Television series Rocko's Modern Life.

[edit] Leap Frogs

Feeling unwanted by her husband, Mrs. Bighead invites neighbor Rocko over to "fix a few things around the house." But little does our wallaby hero know of Mrs. Bighead's ulterior motives.

[edit] Bedfellows

In this story, Heffer isn't pulling his weight around the house, so his parents rent his room out. Heffer tries to live in his old treehouse, but after it comes crashing down on him, he decides to move in with Rocko. However, things start to go crazy. Rocko offers Heffer the couch, but the couch decides it doesn't want Heffer's butt in his face, and takes off. Rocko lets Heffer sleep in his bed, but the two don't fit on it together. Rocko ends up sleeping in his drawer and has a lousy night's sleep. Heffer wakes up refreshed, and takes a shower. He sings extremely loudly in the shower and leaves the bathroom a filthy mess, as well as using up all of the hot water. After a couple of days, Heffer begins to take advantage of Rocko's hospitality. He plays loud music while Rocko's away, and even wears his shirts. Later still, Rocko comes home one day to find a bunch of clothes scattered all over the place, and sees Heffer mixing food in his kitchen...naked! Rocko rushes to his backyard, and sees a huge nudist party taking place! Heffer announces that he's decided to become a nudist, and in anger, Rocko throws everyone out, including Heffer. Heffer is upset by the news and is about to leave when his father comes to pick him up, saying they want him home. Heffer apologizes to Rocko for what he did, and the two make up.

[edit] Trivia

  • The episode "Leap Frogs" was eventually banned due to sexual innuendo (Bev Bighead tries to seduce Rocko) during the show's rerun cycle on Nick, replaced with "Wallaby on Wheels". It is, however, sometimes shown on Nicktoons TV.
  • Leap Frogs was the first appearance of Ed Bighead.
  • Bedfellows was the first appearance of Heffer's family.
  • In Bedfellows the name of the band playing at the nudist party in the backyard is called "The Dangles".
