[edit] Leanne

Leanne and her family were introduced in 1997 as the new "common" family. Leanne was at this time a mischievous trouble-maker.

She started a relationship with Nick Tilsley, even marrying him in secret. Nick's mother was initially displeased at their union, but she warmed slightly to Leanne eventually. Leanne became pregnant, but Nick didn't want the child and demanded she had an abortion. Leanne and Nick later divorced.

Leanne became addicted to cocaine, but this got her into trouble with Jez Quigley. She eventually had to flee Weatherfield to escape him.

She returned in 2004, but her matured attitude reverted back to her original personality at actress Jane Danson's request. While dating Jamie Baldwin, she had an affair with Jamie's dad Danny. Jamie found out and deserted her, while Danny's wife (Jamie's stepmother) Frankie despised her. Her boss at the cafe where she works, Roy Cropper, was also displeased with her and Frankie's cooperation at his cafe. This combination of events has led to her departure to get things together. However, Leanne has since returned to the street, just in time for the so-called 'wedding' of her father Les and his girlfriend Cilla Brown.

In June 2006, she got engaged to Danny Baldwin after he accidentally proposed to her in The Rovers.
