[edit] Story

In The Murena's Keep, shipping magnate Xénophon Hamadryas offers a $ 6000 reward to the inventors of a submarine innovation in order to find his sunken Le Discret off the French Mediterranean coast, and Champignac's efforts are naturally so spectacular that the competition needs to resort to sabotage. A chain of secrets need to be revealed as the maritime criminal John "the Murena" Helena lurks in the deep.

[edit] Background

The inventions of Count Champignac are everywhere in this story as the X4 mushroom elixir that increases brain activity comes into play with the Individual SubMarine Vehicle as the result. An old Fantasio invention, the Fantacopter, makes a reappearance too. New discoveries of the Marsupilami's biology are revealed, and Helena "the Murena" establishes a new breed of thug in an altogether dark and nervous adventure.
