Le Sang

Grandmaster Le Sang (* Autumn 1920 near Hanoi, Vietnam) is grandmaster of the vietnamese martial art Vovinam since 1960 (due to:2005).

Father: Le Van Hien (also known as Duc Quang, 1887 - 1959)
Mother: Nguyen Thi Mui (1887 - 1993)

After being ill which made it difficult for him to walk his mother gave him the advice to study a martial art in order to strengthen his legs again.

In Hanoi he learnt Vovinam at Nguyen Loc's Vovinam school. Soon Le Sang was a teacher himself and kept developing Vovinam together with Nguyen Loc.

1954 Le Sang accompanied Nguyen Loc to Saigon und opened a Vovinam class. He opened further Vovinam schools later and is now (due to: 2005) still teaching the higher ranked students.

1960 Nguyen Loc passed the leadership of Vovinam on to Le Sang.
