Le Gavroche

Le Gavroche is a restaurant on Upper Brook Street in London's Mayfair. It was opened in 1967 by Michel and Albert Roux, although the original premises were on Sloane Street.
It serves classical French food, although some dishes come with something of a modern twist.
In 1982 it became the first restaurant in the UK to be awarded three Michelin stars.
Albert's son, Michel Roux Jr took over the kitchen in 1991 and remains the current head chef as of 2006. Under his stewardship, Le Gavroche has retained two Michelin stars and has been consistently placed in Restaurant's Top 50.
