Lawrence Wright

Lawrence Wright is an American author, screenwriter and a staff writer for The New Yorker magazine. He co-wrote the screenplay for the film The Siege (1998). He is the author of six books including The Looming Tower: A history of Al Qaeda (2006), and Remembering Satan: A Tragic Case of Recovered Memory (1994), about the Paul Ingram false memory case. He is a graduate of Tulane University. Also, for two years he taught at the American University in Cairo, Egypt.

On June 7, 1996, Wright testified at the pardon hearing for Paul Ingram. His book about that case, Remembering Satan, was based on a series of articles that ran in The New Yorker.
