Lawrence Weston

Lawrence Weston is a suburb of Bristol, England and situated directly beneath the wooded Severn Escarpment. The industrial complex and port of Avonmouth is a mile or so away, across the flood plain. The residential area was built in the late 40's/early 50's. Originally council owned, much of the housing stock is now in private hands.
Known as "L Dub" to its inhabitants, members of the local gang - The El Dub Flex can be seem loitering on the Longcross. The origin of the word El Dub Flex can be seen crudely spray painted on a rank of shops near New Horizons kebab emporium.
