Lawrence Foster

Lawrence Foster (born October 23, 1941, in Los Angeles, California) is a noted orchestral conductor.
He became the conductor of the San Francisco Ballet at the age of 18, and went on to conduct many of the world's finest orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Houston Symphony, the Orchestre National de Monte Carlo, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra.
Since 2002, he has been the music director of the Gulbenkian Orchestra of Lisbon.
