Law, South Lanarkshire

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Law is a village situated between Carluke and Wishaw in South Lanarkshire, Scotland with a population of 2,883.

It is mostly residential and has services mostly related to serving the community, such as a community centre called the Tom Craig Centre, a primary school, a Spar grocers and many smaller shops including an Indian take-away and a chippie. Law is also home to a fairly large bus company called Irvine's Coaches which serves the surrounding areas of Wishaw, Carluke and other parts of Lanarkshire. The Argyle Line from Lanark runs through the Village but unfortunately there is no station on it at present. There used to be one but it was closed many years ago, however it is possible it could be reopened in the future.
