Lavon is a town in Collin County, Texas, United States. The population was 387 at the 2000 census.

Lavon is located at 33°1′36″N, 96°26′18″W (33.026795, -96.438467)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.3 km² (1.3 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 387 people, 136 households, and 116 families residing in the town. The population density was 118.6/km² (306.9/mi²). There were 146 housing units at an average density of 44.7/km² (115.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 93.02% White, 1.03% Native American, 0.78% Asian, 2.07% from other races, and 3.10% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.49% of the population.

There were 136 households out of which 36.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 77.2% were married couples living together, 5.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 14.0% were non-families. 11.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.85 and the average family size was 3.03.

In the town the population was spread out with 24.8% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 34.9% from 25 to 44, 23.0% from 45 to 64, and 11.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 100.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.5 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $57,083, and the median income for a family was $61,250. Males had a median income of $42,143 versus $31,250 for females. The per capita income for the town was $20,711. None of the families and 1.3% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 10.5% of those over 64.
