Lauren Myracle

Lauren Myracle is the author of numerous young adult novels. She was born in 1969. Lauren Myracle holds an MA in English from Colorado State University and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College.
Her first novel, Kissing Kate, was selected as one of ALA's "Best Books for Young Adults" for the year 2004. It was named by Booklist as one of the "Top Ten Youth Romances" of the year, as well as one of the "Top Ten Books by New Writers." Her middle-grade novel, Eleven, came out 2004. She has also written the young adult novel TTYL (Talk to You Later). Myracle published The Fashion Disaster that Changed My Life in 2005. Her novels ttyl and ttfn were both New York Times bestsellers.

TTYL and its sequel, TTFN are novels told entirely through the instant messages of three friends. SnowAngel (Angela), zoegirl (Zoe), and madmaddie (Maddie) are all sophomores in high school. The final book, l8r g8r, in which Angela, Zoe, and Maddie are seniors in their high school, will be published spring of 2007.
