Lauren Lanning

Lauren Chandler Lanning (born 1983) is a beauty queen from Houston, Texas who has competed in the Miss USA pageant.

Lanning won the Miss Texas USA 2006 pageant held in July 2005. She had previously competed in four Miss Texas USA pageants, and was 3rd runner-up in 2004 as Miss Fort Bend County USA and 2nd runner-up in 2005 as Miss Bay Area USA. She had also competed in the Miss Texas Teen USA pageant in 2002. Her sister Taylor Lanning competed in the Miss Texas Teen USA pageants in 2005 and 2006, and the two held the the same Miss and Teen local titles at the same time.

Lanning graduated from Pearland High School in 2001. After leaving high school she attended San Jacinto College and the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She is pursuing a degree in Communications with a minor in Public Relations and Spanish. Lauren is currently the new addition to Houston's Channel 55 "The Tube" Television station. She is the new CO-Host of "Wild About Houston".

Lanning has a strong community involvement background, and has volunteered for Coins for the Cure, Shriners Hospital for Children, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston, and the Friendship Heaven Nursing Home. Lauren, along with her sister Taylor, have implemented their own Non-Profit Organization, "Coins For The Cure".

Her other hobbies and interests include singing, acting and cooking.
