Laurdine "Pat" Patrick

Laurdine "Pat" Patrick (1929 - 1991) was a baritone saxophone player best-known for his over forty years' association with Sun Ra.

As well as his long-term membership of the Sun Ra Arkestra, Patrick also played with John Coltrane (appearing on Africa/Brass in 1961), Mongo Santamaría (appearing on the hits Watermelon Man and Yeh Yeh), and in Thelonious Monk's quartet in the early 1970s.

His son is Massachusetts governor-elect Deval Patrick.
