Laura Watton

Laura Watton (Born August 2, 1979) is a semi-professional UK Manga artist, currently publishing under Sweatdrop Studios, with her well-known series, Biomecha. She currently resides in Cambridge and works as a freelance artist.
Watton has been part of the anime scene since the early 90's entering artwork and letters to such magazines as Super Play and Anime FX, the fanzine 'Red Leopard' & provided the covers for Anime Connect 1-3. In 2001 she joined up with other comic creators Hayden Scott-Baron/Dock, Sam Brown/Subi and Foxy in founding one of the largest UK Manga Studios, Sweatdrop Studios.
Watton has produced a number of comics including 'Pinkaa Fairy' which featured in the Sweatdrop anthology 'Sugardrops' and 'Different for girls' which featured in the anthology 'Stardust'. Her signature series 'Biomecha 'was first published as a fanzine under Gaijin Press in 1994 and is currently still on-going with at least six full issues to its name.
