(1889 - 1966)

Wife of James Earle Fraser.

She was a sculptor and numismatist. She was the winner of the 1931 competition to design a new Quarter (United States coin). Her winning design was ignored by the Treasury Secretary, Andrew Mellon, who selected a design by John Flanagan. Whoever said she was a numismatist? I don't recall her being one. Has this 'fact' been verified?
