Lau Chan is a fictional character in the Sega video game series Virtua Fighter.
He was born October 2, 1940 in China, and is the father of Pai Chan, another fellow character in the game.
Lau Chan is a cook, and also likes to write Chinese poetry.
In Virtua Fighter 4, Lau entered the tournament looking for a successor. He didn't consider his daughter Pai, because he didn't think she was strong enough to continue his legacy.
