Late Mississippian

The Late Mississippian (also known as the Upper Mississippian) is the third and final of three subepochs of the Mississippian epoch of the Carboniferous period. It spans the time between 326.4 ± 1.6 Ma and 318.1 ± 1.3 Ma (million years ago). It has one faunal stage, the Serpukhovian.
