Talk:Lastman's Bad Boy Furniture
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I can appreciate why User:Andrevan applied the 'inclusion' tag; however, I'm inclined to think this deserves to be an article.
There are essentially three things that are interesting about Bad Boy furniture:
- their annoying and memorable commercials (the nooo-body line)
- their Bill and Hilary impersonators, which actually prompted a cease-and-desist letter from the Oval Office in the early 90's
- the connection with Mayor Mel Lastman (the original owner, and father of the current one)
Simply having annoying and memorable commercials is not enough; otherwise, many used car dealerships would be on wikipedia. But I think the combination of the Clinton and Lastman connections suffice to make this fit for inclusion. --Saforrest 18:09, Sep 14, 2004 (UTC)
Alright Saforrest, if you can elaborate on this cease and desist situation, I'll withdraw my objections. Andre 18:47, 14 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks. I know that instance only from memory; I'll see if I can find some more information. --Saforrest 19:06, Sep 14, 2004 (UTC)

- I've revised the article to contain a synopsis of the Clinton affair. --Saforrest 03:10, Sep 16, 2004 (UTC)
I don't know how well known this would be in the rest of Canada (probably not known at all), but it's really famous in southern Ontario, at least. If you randomly yelled "noooobody" on the street, everyone would know what you were talking about :) Adam Bishop 03:12, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)
I'd like to see a much more detailed description of the comercial, especially this noooobody line --The_stuart 00:24, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)
