Larry Sherry

Lawrence Sherry (born July 25, 1935, in Los Angeles, California) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher.
Sherry, who was Jewish, won 53 games between 1958 and 1968 for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1958-63), Detroit Tigers (1964-67), Houston Astros (1967), and California Angels (1968).
He was named MVP of the 1959 World Series, in which Sherry's L.A. Dodgers defeated the Chicago White Sox in 6 games, winning the Babe Ruth Award. Sherry appeared in 4 games during the series, winning two of them, and had a 0.71 ERA in 12 and two-thirds innings during the series.
In 1960 he was 3rd in the league with 20 saves, and 4th in the league in games finished with 38.
