Larry McKeon (born June 30, 1944) is an American politician and member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the state's 13th district. He is the only openly gay member of either house of theIllinois General Assembly and is also HIV-positive.

McKeon was elected to the House in 1996. He serves on the Committees for Labor, Aging, and several others. He holds degrees from California State University at Los Angeles and completed some doctoral work at the University of Chicago. He is a veteran of the United States Army.

In July 2006, he announced his intention to retire from the legislature at the end of his current term. As he had already been re-elected unopposed, it fell to the five Democratic ward committeemen to select a replacement nominee, who would be unopposed in the general election. They selected the openly gay (and openly HIV-positive) Greg Harris.
