Larry Evoy

Larry Evoy was the lead singer and founder of Canadian rock band Edward Bear.

Evoy and his band struggled through the Yorkville scene in Toronto until finally landing a recording deal with Capitol Records in 1969.

Their first single, "You, Me & Mexico", was released in February 1970 reached No.3 on the international charts and No.68 in the U.S. The band embarked on a disastrous tour of Canada to support their first album 'Bearings'. Their biggest hit, "Last Song", was released in 1972, as the band was splitting up. Evoy fronted a version of the band from 1972 to 1974. By then Evoy had embraced Scientology. Evoy went on to a semi-successful solo career but is currently retired.
