As number 56 on his list, Earl (Jason Lee) decides to return an award winning cat back to its rightful owner after attempting to sabotage a cat show in Joy's (Jaime Pressly) favor. Earl leads her to the house of "the sleepy cat lady", where he'd left the cat after stealing it, only to discover that the cat is now grossly overweight. Randy starts to develop feelings for the cat's owner, despite not only dislking but being allergic to cats. Eventually, Randy blurts out the truth, and she gives the cat up in order to be with him. Earl decides to put the cat on his list and get it back into competitive shape. Randy eventually realizes that his new girlfriend is treating him like a cat and breaks up with her, leading the cat's original owner to take it off Earl's hands.
