Lara Parker was born Mary Lamar Rickey in Knoxville, Tennessee on October 27, 1942. A graduate of University of Iowa with Masters Degree in the arts, she is a film and television actress best known as the witch named Angelique on the cult ABC-TV serial Dark Shadows which aired from 1966-1971. In 1998, Parker published a novel, Angelique's Descent, and has written a sequel, Dark Shadows: The Salem Branch, released in July of 2006. She has recently reprised the role of Angelique for a new series of Dark Shadows audio dramas from Big Finish Productions.
