"Lap of Luxury" was the American rock and roll band Cheap Trick's comeback album, and also saw the reforming of the original line-up featuring Tom Petersson on 12 string bass. The band had a successful tour of Australia with the release of this album and returned a number of times during its success.
The single "The Flame" was their highest charting single going to #1. "The Flame" would be Cheap Trick's only #1 single. It was their only original song that wasn't written by the band. Cheap Trick recorded the song so they could stay on their label. The band hated the song so much they refused to play the song on their upcoming tour.
