Lap cheung

Lap cheung is a common food in Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macau. It consists of grounded pork, usually packed in a casting (the large intestines of a pig) going through compression, drying and exposure in sun light.

The Hong Kong government in 14th September, 2006 disclosed that a sample made in Macau sold at Kee Wah contains a forbidden colouring Rhodamine B, which can cause vomiting and suppress the central nervous system.
