Langland Bay
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Langland Bay is a popular holiday resort that is relatively difficult to access. Aligned along the top of the beach are a number of small green and white timber holiday beach huts, these are backed by [tennis]] courts for hire.
Langland is the epicentre of surfing in the Swansea area, with many Langland surfers going on to great things in International surfing competitions. Most notably Carwyn Williams who took on many of the worlds best surfers from surf rich countries like Australia and beat them in the late 80´s. This was before enduring an horrific car crash and being told he would not walk again. Years later he´s back and surfing better than ever. Theres a whole bunch of young surfers, including 2005 Welsh champion Lloyd Cole who are also flying the Langland flag. Langlandsurf.com has an abundance of photo´s of Langland surfing.
