[edit] Background and History
Goldberg is a well-known entity. "Lane, the Nefarious," an epithet that many associate him with, in his native town of Inverness, Scotland, is actually quite feared amongst the Scottish locals. As it is, such fear seems not unwarranted....
Many Scots have attested that "The Nefarious One" has been terrorizing local goat farms - capturing newborn goats at night...and hanging them by their horns over nearby bridges. To the civilians' shock, it is believed that, as supported by Scottish history books, Lane has been terrorizing these poor goats for nearly...two...hundred...years....
Adding to the perturbingly arcane nature of this equally baffling mystery, it is also strongly believed that the Lane lives in a tunnel (which he borrowed) beneath the Urquhart Castle: the very caste which abuts the Loch Ness.
Perhaps the Lane simply feels comforted by the company of his friend the Loch Ness Monster. Perhaps...the Lane is actually hiding the fabled beast - from poachers and paparazzi - within his labyrinth?
