Landis & Gyr

Landis & Gyr is a Swiss company formed in 1896, with headquarters in Zug. Their main products are electricity meters. By the 1980s the company comprised several divisions. PBZ was responsible for electricity meters and test benches; PBFR for telemetering and ripple control; PBC for climate and comfort control, PBT for telephony and PBIC for industrial components.
The PBIC division was made of two subsidiary Swiss companies, SODECO, headquartered in Geneva and SAIA, based in Murten. SODECO made public telephony equipment and counters while SAIA produced stepper motors, limit switches and programmable logic controllers.
