Lan Mao(蓝猫) or Blue Cat is a cartoon character that is situated only in China. In addition to the show that is about Lan Mao and his adventures, there is a major number of products that feature this character.His friends include a turquoise mouse and many others.

Adventures include going into deep sea and accompanying dinosaurs. The shows are widely based on science and aometimes, science fiction. It has been popular in China, because many of the Chinese youth have been sending questions to the studio, and the studio answering them with one of Lan Mao's adventures.

Even though his name means "blue cat", his color on the cartoon show is purple.
