Lamud District

Lamud is a district of the province of Luya. It is one of 23 Peruvian districts that form the Province of Luya in the Region Amazon. His capital is the people Lamud.

Lamud is located in the high mountain. Lamud offers enough attractive places for tourists like ruins, caves of the culture beautiful Chachapoya and vales. Lamud also is the head office of the government of the Province of Luya. To come to Lamud a car takes in the city of Chachapoyas.

The management holidays of the capital Lamud are celebrated on September 14, which is the holiday of the Master of Gualamita that receives enough adoration in the zone. As typical meals are known by the Purtumute, the Locro and the cuy with dads between others.

In the north the District of Lamud has border with the District of St Kitts, in the North-East with the District of Valera, in the southeast with the District of Huancas (Chachapoyas) (Province of Chachapoyas), in the southeast with the District of Luya, and in the south-west with the District of Trita.
