Lamjung District

Lamjung district, a part of Gandaki zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, with Besisahar as its district headquarters, covers an area of 1,692 sq km and has a population (2001) of 177,149. Lamjung is one of the many beautiful places in Nepal, Lamjung mainly consists of villages, where farmers grow field crops, look after cattle, plought the fields etc... Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy in Lamjung for villagers. Most of the villages in Lamjung lack electricity supply, although solar powered electricity is increasing through out most villages.
