Lamesley

Lamesley is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. The village is situated towards the south of Gateshead, near to Birtley and Kibblesworth. The parish includes Lamesley village, Kibblesworth and Eighton Banks.

The Ravensworth Arms in Lamesley said to be where Lewis Carroll wrote 'Alice in Wonderland'. Alice being the landlord's daughter.
