Lamartine is a town in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,616 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 94.7 km² (36.6 mi²). 94.5 km² (36.5 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (0.19%) is water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 1,616 people, 581 households, and 460 families residing in the town. The population density was 17.1/km² (44.3/mi²). There were 599 housing units at an average density of 6.3/km² (16.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.27% White, 0.37% African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.12% Asian, 0.19% Pacific Islander, 0.06% from other races, and 0.87% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.05% of the population.

There were 581 households out of which 33.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.1% were married couples living together, 5.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.7% were non-families. 15.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.78 and the average family size was 3.13.

In the town the population was spread out with 25.6% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 28.4% from 25 to 44, 27.8% from 45 to 64, and 10.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 109.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 113.1 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $54,400, and the median income for a family was $58,750. Males had a median income of $40,433 versus $22,375 for females. The per capita income for the town was $25,202. About 3.3% of families and 3.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.1% of those under age 18 and 10.1% of those age 65 or over.
