Lamèque, New Brunswick

Lamèque is a town on Île de Lamèque off the Acadian Peninsula of New Brunswick, Canada. As of 2001 the population was 1,580, of which most are francophone.

Fishing and peat farming are the major industries in the area. Since 1975, Lameque has also played host to an international baroque music festival. [1]
