==Welcome== Hello LakeHMM and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've chosen to join us. This is a great project with lots of dedicated people, which might seem intimidating at times, but don't let anything discourage you. Be bold!, explore, and contribute. If you want to learn more,

Five Pillars of Wikipedia

Float around for awhile until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. There are also many great committees and groups that focus on particular jobs. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English and Wikipedia:Cleanup for sloppy articles. Finally, the Wikimedia Foundation has several other wiki projects that you might enjoy.

There are a few crucial points to keep in mind when editing. Be civil with users, strive to maintain a neutral point of view, verify your information, and show good etiquette like signing your comments with four tildes like this: ~~~~ If you have any more questions, always feel free to ask me anything on my talk page or ask the true experts at Wikipedia:Help desk. Again, welcome! -- Draeco 07:02, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

I thought I had. I did {{zh-cp}}, {{zh-sp}}, and {{zh-tp}}; what others are there? --Angr/talk 05:56, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

That was two weeks ago; the matter is presently out of my hands. I suggest you wander over to Wikipedia:Userbox policy poll. Best wishes, Mackensen (talk) 00:27, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, Ma Lei

Hello Ma Lei, I've taken the liberty of correcting your short introduction. Some small pointers: in Chinese, sentences are usually longer than in English, with commas sometimes taking the role of semi-colons in English writing. Also, when writing about the act of speaking a language, it's technically more accurate to use 语 or 话, rather than 文.

All the best, and keep up the good work. Yeu Ninje 06:20, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject LGBT studies

Hello! I noticed that your userpage mentions that you are interested in LGBT issues. Would you be interested in joining WikiProject LGBT studies? The WikiProject's been a bit inactive recently and some of us are trying to get it going again. We'd love to have you on board! Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 21:18, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
