[edit] Rumours
Rumours surround a possible takeover of a football club?? It is thought he finds paticular intrest in the West Midlands football clubs as he thinks London has already got enough! Among his wish list are apparently: Birmingham City, West Brom. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nathan Hoey (talk • contribs) 17:48, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Not just rumours - he has just bought PFC CSKA Sofia and this is a very happy news for us (the bulgarians), he owns the biggest steel factory in Bulgaria (Kremikovci).
[edit] Picture Position
The picture with Lula makes reading the text around it awkward. Can someone who knows how please re-position this photo? Thanks. Jedimindtrick 15:41, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

- Is it better now ?--Milki 18:55, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes, thanks Milki! Appreciate your help. There is however a chunk of white space in the area adjacent to where the two pictures 'meet'- could I request your help in moving the text around as well? Thanks! Jedimindtrick 15:42, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

- I'm planning on adding an entirely new section about Mittal and his relations with Foreign Leaders. I'll be moving the picture and MittalGate Scandal over there.--Milki 14:25, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Someone update to reflect Arcelor-Mittal Merger
Does anyone mind if I do it ?--Milki 22:56, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
somebody come up with a less goofy image
The figure for Mittal's London house was originally given as 50 million pounds. I have added in that this is equivalent to $127m, in line with the figure provided by the BBC in the link "Glimpsing a fairytale wedding" at the bottom of the page. At current exchange rates, this doesn't work out, so revert this if it is incorrect. --MichaelWest 29 June 2005 13:18 (UTC)
-does anyone know how old this guy is? He's gonna be richer than warren buffet one day.
Do we have a birthdate for him?
- He was born on 15 June 1950 in a small village Sadulpur of Churu district in Rajasthan in India. Here is the Biographic link:

[edit] Request (Vandalism?)
Could the user at 24.11.163.197 (also editing from 35.8.219.117) please stop adding irrelevant and unverifiable information to the page, particularly what you have repeatedly re-inserted- about someone called 'Devesh Poddar'. Firstly this article is about Lakshmi Mittal, and only useful/relevant information about him should be on the page. Second, Wikipedia cannot have unverifiable information- please see Wikipedia:Verifiability if you have any doubts about the meaning of this. Thanks. Jedimindtrick 13:23, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
As a follow up, to the above, it looks like the user is continuing to add this information about 'Devesh Poddar'. I did a few google searches and reverse DNS matches for IP address 24.11.163.197 it seems pretty likely that the person adding this is himself Devesh Poddar. If this is the case, please note that Wikipedia is not a forum for self-promotion, and kindly cease inserting unverifiable and irrelevant information on this page. Thank you. [edit] Continued Vandalism
It appears that the same user, under various IP addresses 24.11.163.197, 35.8.219.117 and 35.8.219.211 has continued to insert irrelevant information in the page, possibly for self-promotion (although this is by no means proven). This has been going on for a while now, so any suggestions by other Wiki editors as to how to deal with this would be welcome. Clearly reverts have no impact on this individual's desire to vandalize. [edit] How rich is he?
This article lists him as both the 3rd richest man in the world and the 5th richest man in the world. I realize the numbers are probably not definite and are subject to change, but we should arrive at some wording that's not so blatently contradictory. MK2 03:09, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
