- the Laguna Lakers, a defunct basketball team in the Philippines based in Laguna.
- Sir Freddie Laker, an aviation entrepreneur.
- Laker Airways, the airline the late Sir Freddie Laker founded in 1966, which went on to write a new chapter in aviation history with its revolutionary "Skytrain" low-fare, "no frills" service across the Atlantic in the late 1970s and early 1980s before going spectacularly bust in 1982.
