Lakemba railway station is a station on the CityRail Bankstown Line, located in the Sydney suburb of Lakemba. It is generally served by four trains per hour in each direction, although this can vary during peak hours when some services are more frequent, including some express services. The weekend and late evenings are half hour services. Lakemba has an island platform. At the eastern end of the station, a road bridge carries Lakemba's main shopping street, Haldon Street, over the railway. The original wooden ticket office above the station was demolished when it was heavily damaged by fire and replaced by a modern metal and glass structure. Currently the station only has access by stairs, however it is undergoing an Easy Access upgrade, including elevators for people with wheelchairs, those who are less mobile, and parents with prams.
