Lakeland, Louisiana

Lakeland, Louisiana, or Rougon, is a non-census designated place in southeastern Pointe Coupee Parish. The area is home to several plantation houses, such as Alma, and Poydras Plantations. There is one school in the area, Rougon Elementary School (formerly High School). As there are no officially designated boundaries to the village, the whole area is generally either referred to as Lakeland or Rougon.
